"We want children to grow up remembering Hinamatsuri as a joyful part of their childhood."
This is the core belief behind HinaMap. Hinamatsuri is a beautiful Japanese tradition celebrating children's healthy growth. We believe that when these experiences become warm childhood memories, they are naturally passed on to the next generation — and we want to protect and nurture this cycle of culture.
We are Kuragata Ningyo, a traditional doll maker based in Tokorozawa, Saitama, with over 180 years of history. Beyond crafting Hina dolls, we have been hosting Hinamatsuri events every year, driven by our desire to make the festival even more vibrant and exciting.
However, as a small company, there are limits to the events we can organize on our own. At the same time, we discovered that wonderful Hinamatsuri events with unique regional character are being held all across Japan.
"We want more people to discover Hinamatsuri events across the country. We want families to visit them and create happy memories together." — This wish led to the creation of HinaMap, a portal site that brings together Hinamatsuri event information from all over Japan. For us, this is our way of promoting and preserving Hinamatsuri culture.
