A quiet autumn chance to see Kyoto-associated chrysanthemums at the famed cherry-blossom park
Held at Maruyama Park in Higashiyama, Kyoto, the "Kyoto Heritage Chrysanthemum Exhibition" displays pots of chrysanthemums with ties to Kyoto, grown with care, around the park. It is organized by the Kyoto City Greenery Association, with the park's management office as the contact point. In 2024 it ran November 2 to 17; in 2025 it was held as a "chrysanthemum viewing event" through November 16. Best known for cherry blossoms, Maruyama Park has also become known for this autumn chrysanthemum display. Admission is free.
