55th Hachinohe Chrysanthemum Festival

The Hachinohe Chrysanthemum Festival, held in the plaza in front of Hachinohe City Hall, is an autumn tradition featuring Oshu chrysanthemums and other varieties carefully grown by local enthusiasts, including large blooms, fukusuke, and cut flowers. The festival also features a chrysanthemum bonsai exhibit, a citizen-made Oshu chrysanthemum display, a life-size chrysanthemum doll exhibit, and a hands-on chrysanthemum doll corner. Award-winning entries from the 'Greenery and Flowers' flower bed, drawing, and essay contest are also on display. Food trucks and other vendors line the venue throughout the event, making it an enjoyable outing for the whole family. Admission is free.
