Venue: Former Horikiri Residence (Main House & Jukken Storehouse)
Feb 13 – Mar 3, 2026
Held at the Former Horikiri Residence, a designated tangible cultural property in Iizaka Onsen — one of the three famous hot springs of Oshu — this vibrant event displays approximately 8,000 handmade hanging dolls (tsurushi-bina). Now in its 16th year, this spring tradition fills the main house and Jukken storehouse with colorful hanging ornaments that dazzle visitors. A unique advantage of this hot spring town venue is the free foot bath and hand bath available on-site, allowing visitors to relax while enjoying the displays. Located within walking distance of Iizaka Onsen Station, the event pairs perfectly with a stroll through the hot spring district or a day-trip bath. Free admission and evening hours until 9 PM make late visits possible.
