Feb 14 – Mar 22, 2026
The 'Hinamatsuri in a Traditional House' spot exhibition is held at the Nara Prefectural Museum of Folklore within Yamato Folk Park in Yamatokoriyama, Nara. An eight-tiered Showa-era hina display is set up in the storehouse parlor of the Former Akatsuchi Family Detached Building, an Edo-period traditional house, creating a beautiful harmony between historic space and hina decorations. Located in the castle town of Yamatokoriyama, known as the 'goldfish town,' the exhibition coincides with the blooming season of wintersweet, red plum, and white plum blossoms. After viewing the hina dolls in the charming traditional setting, visitors can enjoy strolling through the expansive folk park.
