Iwatsuki, known as Japan's premier doll-making town, hosts its 23rd Machikado Hina Meguri (Street Corner Hina Tour). Under the themes of 'Viewing,' 'Creating,' and 'Eating,' artisan creations and antique merchant-family dolls are displayed at shopping streets around Iwatsuki Station, Hisaizu Shrine, ryotei restaurants Hoteiya and Funamata, and Miroku-mitsuji Temple (Iwatsuki Daishi). A Nagashi-bina (floating doll) ceremony takes place on March 1, where visitors can experience the tradition of releasing paper dolls into the river. Doll-making workshops, stamp rallies, and other activities cater to all ages.
