The Yodoko Guest House Hina Doll Exhibition showcases hina dolls in a nationally designated Important Cultural Property building designed by master architect Frank Lloyd Wright. The Meiji-era hina dolls, crafted by Kyoto's renowned 'Maruhei Ohki Doll Shop' and associated with the Yamamura family, are masterpieces known for their exquisite craftsmanship and luxurious finish. The unique beauty of traditional Japanese hina dolls harmonizing with Wright's distinctive geometric design and Oya stone architecture is the main attraction. Advance reservations required; open Tue, Wed, Fri, Sat, Sun only. Located on Ashiya's hillside with views of Osaka Bay.
