Arita Hina Ceramic Festival

A unique event in Arita, Japan's premier porcelain production center, where hina dolls crafted from white Arita-yaki porcelain are displayed throughout town. Kilns, galleries, and shops showcase delicate ceramic hina dolls with a distinctive beauty different from traditional fabric or wood dolls. Thirty-one restaurants offer special 'Hiina Lunch' menus, and a stamp rally covers 29 locations. This is a spring festival uniquely suited to a ceramics town, easily combined with Arita-yaki shopping.
