Venue: Mojiko Retro District (Sankiro, Former Moji Customs House, etc.)
Feb 7 – Mar 1, 2026
A hinamatsuri held in the retro port town of Moji-ku, Kitakyushu. Hina dolls from the Meiji, Taisho, Showa, and Heisei eras are displayed in historic buildings throughout the Retro District, including the Sankiro residence, the Former Moji Customs House, and shops along Sakaemachi Gintenkai shopping street. The combination of Taisho-era Western-style architecture and red-brick warehouses with traditional hina dolls creates a uniquely atmospheric experience. Mojiko flourished as an international trade port from the Meiji to Taisho periods, and the festival held among these heritage buildings offers an exceptional sense of historical charm.
