The Iwamura Castle Town Hinamatsuri is one of the region's largest hina festivals, held in the castle town of Iwamura in Ena, Gifu. Approximately 3,500 hina dolls are displayed at about 100 locations including townhouses, shops, and private homes in the castle town of Iwamura Castle, counted among Japan's three great mountain castles. Visitors can stroll through the Important Preservation District of Historic Buildings while discovering unique cultural traditions such as the Edo-period custom of displaying goldfish alongside hina dolls. The festival period also features various events including the Ena-Iwamura market, castle town music festival, and sake brewery openings at Iwamura Jozo.
