Utazu Machiya and Ohina-san

Utazu Machiya and Ohina-san is a hinamatsuri event in the historic 'Komachi' quarter of Utazu, Kagawa. Hina dolls are displayed in the homes and shops that line the old streets of Utazu, a town that once prospered from salt production. The highlight is the reenactment of a traditional wedding procession, 'Utazu no Yomeiri Fuku Aruki,' where a bride in white kimono parades through the old quarter. The festive sight draws large crowds. It's a hinamatsuri where visitors can feel the gentle spring along the Seto Inland Sea coast of Shikoku.
