Approx. 70 locations around JR Ujiie Station and Sakura City Hall
Sakura City, TochigiKanto
70 venues along the old Oshu Highway
Now in its 23rd year, the Ujiie Hina Meguri is a walking-style hina festival where visitors follow red banners to approximately 70 locations along the old Oshu Highway. The centerpiece is the 'Goten-bina' (palace-style dolls) displayed at the Takizawa Family Residence, a prefecturally designated cultural property, modeled after Kyoto's Imperial Palace Shishinden Hall — their exquisite craftsmanship is a must-see. Visitors stroll the historically atmospheric streetscape of the old Oshu Highway while touring displays in shops, public facilities, and private homes. Red banners mark each display location, making navigation easy even for first-time visitors.
