Katsuyama Ohina Matsuri

In Katsuyama — the first town in Okayama Prefecture to be designated a townscape preservation district — over 160 homes and shops display hina dolls in their storefronts during this five-day event. The approximately 1 km preservation district transforms into a vibrant street filled with diverse displays, from Edo-period family treasures to handmade dolls. The charming streetscape features earthen storehouses, white walls, lattice windows, traditional sake breweries, old houses, and samurai residences. Traffic restrictions are in place during the festival.
