The 75th Takefu Chrysanthemum Doll Exhibition
Echizen, Fukui
One of Japan's three great chrysanthemum doll exhibitions, filling the grounds with some 20,000 plants. The 75th edition in 2026 takes yokai as its theme, and combines the flower displays with a revue by the OSK Nippon Revue Company and a full set of fairground rides.
The 70th Nihonmatsu Chrysanthemum Doll Exhibition

One of Japan's three great chrysanthemum doll exhibitions, held in Kasumigajo Park. The 70th edition in 2026 takes as its theme "The Bonds of the Toyotomi and the Pride of the Niwa," with life-size figures clothed in living chrysanthemums recreating scenes from history.

Yogo Chrysanthemum Show at Zenyoji Temple

A chrysanthemum show held since 1967 in the grounds of Zenyoji Temple in Koiwa, home of the Yogo Pine, a nationally designated natural monument. Around 1,000 plants, including a grand chrysanthemum bed in the temple's own yogo style, potted specimens, cascades and bonsai, are judged partway through the run.
