Chrysanthemums fill a special flower bed in the temple precincts during Shichi-go-san season
Kawasaki Daishi (formally Heiken-ji Temple) holds a chrysanthemum exhibition at a special flower bed within its grounds every year from late October through late November. The temple's official November events page notes that the display coincides with the Shichi-go-san child-blessing month. No specific start or end date is given, only the "late October to late November" period. The precincts are open to visitors free of charge; the main hall is open 6:00–17:30 from October through March and 5:30–18:00 from April through September. Visitors can view the potted chrysanthemums freely during regular visits or Shichi-go-san prayers.
*The dates shown are estimates based on the previous year.
