Chrysanthemums and chrysanthemum dolls grown by local schoolchildren
The Kitamoto Chrysanthemum Festival at Kitamoto General Park is an autumn tradition displaying chrysanthemums and chrysanthemum dolls grown by local elementary and junior high school students and residents. Handmade chrysanthemum works fill a corner of the park, which also features a lawn plaza, woodland, and a barbecue area, delighting visitors each year from late October through early November. As a community-rooted, handmade event, it also serves as a place for intergenerational exchange through the chrysanthemums the children grow. Until the official 2026 announcement is made, the dates here are estimated based on the usual timing.
