Chrysanthemum Decorations at Shuzenji Onsen

At Shuzenji Onsen in Izu City, potted chrysanthemums are lined up along the stone steps below Shuzenji Temple's gate as an annual autumn decoration. Typically from early October to mid-November, the steps at the heart of the hot spring town are brightened with chrysanthemum pots. The decoration once covered the whole hot spring town but is now centered on the steps below the temple gate. Viewing is free and open, easy to enjoy while strolling, with the chrysanthemum colors visible as you climb the steps.
