Venue: Nikko Tamozawa Imperial Villa Memorial Park
Feb 7 – Mar 2, 2026
This exhibition features approximately 40 hanging doll displays in the former Imperial Villa of Emperor Taisho, recognized as one of the largest wooden buildings from the Meiji/Taisho era. The hanging dolls, displayed in these prestigious spaces including the Empress's chambers — all designated as Important Cultural Properties — create a unique atmosphere where imperial elegance meets traditional craft beauty. Visitors can enjoy the hina displays while touring the expansive gardens and historic architecture in the crisp early-spring air of Nikko. A perfect complement to visits to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Nikko Toshogu Shrine.
