Hiketa Hina Matsuri

In the historic streets of Hiketa, Higashikagawa City, approximately 60 homes display hina dolls in the region's distinctive lavish 'Hiketa-kazari' style. With the Sanshu Izutsuya Mansion as the main venue, hina displays adorn the eaves and entrances of old townhouses throughout the area. In 2026, a special art collaboration with Tokyo University of the Arts brings together tradition and contemporary art. Kimono dressing experiences, tea ceremony classes, and koto and ocarina concerts add to the cultural offerings.
