Hina dolls along white-walled streets of a tenryo town
The Tenryo Joge Hinamatsuri is one of the largest hina festival events in the region, held annually in the town of Joge in Fuchu City, Hiroshima. Over 5,000 hina dolls are displayed along approximately 800 meters of white-walled streetscape in this town that once prospered as a tenryo (shogunal domain) during the Edo period. Visitors can stroll through the historic townscape admiring diverse hina displays adorning shops and private homes. During the festival period, the 'Deko Market' is held on February 28-March 1, featuring stalls selling handmade crafts and local delicacies. The picturesque combination of white walls and hina dolls has made this a popular destination for photography enthusiasts.
