The Mabi Koinobori Festival at 'Beautiful Forest' in Mabi-cho, Kurashiki features about 200 koinobori in a lush rural setting. The main event on May 5 includes stage performances, food stalls, and games. The festival is also cherished as a symbol of recovery for Mabi-cho, which was devastated by the 2018 Western Japan floods. Free admission.
