Around 600 chrysanthemum entries grown by enthusiasts from across the Kanto region
Held every year from October 25 to November 25 on the grounds of Daikoin Temple (known as 'Donryu-sama') in Kanayama-cho, Ota, this chrysanthemum exhibition is co-hosted by the City of Ota and the local Kanayama Kako-kai chrysanthemum society. Around 600 entries, carefully grown by enthusiasts from across the Kanto region, are displayed at a special venue on the temple grounds. Daikoin is said to have been founded by Tokugawa Ieyasu as the family temple of Nitta Yoshishige, and is popularly known as Donryu-sama, visited for prayers related to safe childbirth and childcare. The show is a beloved autumn tradition, offering visitors the chance to enjoy prize-worthy chrysanthemum entries from across the region while paying a visit to the temple. Check with the City of Ota or the Kanayama Kako-kai for the latest details before visiting.
