98th Akashi Park Chrysanthemum Exhibition

The Akashi Park Chrysanthemum Exhibition began in 1926 and, apart from an interruption during the war years, has carried local growing skills and tradition across nearly a century. Its 98th edition runs from 24 October to 15 November 2026. From the main entrance of Akashi Park toward the central avenue, visitors encounter elaborate set-piece beds, three-stem large-flowered specimens, cascade chrysanthemums trained to spill like plants over a cliff, compact fukusuke forms and bonsai-style plants. Seeing these disciplines side by side reveals the precision of techniques refined by local growers over many years.
