Large chrysanthemums and cascade-style entries carefully grown by Chrysanthemum Lovers' Association members
Held every year from October 20 to November 23 on the grounds of Kashihara Jingu, this chrysanthemum exhibition showcases entries grown by members of the Kashihara Chrysanthemum Lovers' Association in front of the shrine's outer hall, with the blooms typically peaking in early November. According to the City of Kashihara's official information, the show is viewable daily from 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (following the shrine's opening hours), displaying numerous chrysanthemums its growers have carefully cultivated, including large blooms, cascade-style arrangements and bonsai-style entries. Set within the spacious grounds of Kashihara Jingu, which enshrines Emperor Jinmu, the exhibition is a beloved seasonal tradition marking the arrival of autumn. Viewing is free. Although the show is held on the same fixed dates each year, visitors are advised to check the latest information from Kashihara Jingu or the city before visiting.
