About 120 koinobori flying above the Kano River
The Numazu Koinobori Festival, celebrating its 42nd edition in 2026, is a beloved Golden Week tradition in Numazu City, Shizuoka. About 120 colorful koinobori donated by local citizens fly above Kanogawa Green Space along the Kano River. Unique to Numazu, special 'Love Live! Sunshine!!' themed koinobori are also displayed. On the main event days of May 4-5, various experience booths, food stalls, and family-friendly activities are set up for visitors to enjoy.
