The Tanabata legend narrated live under a starry dome
A Tanabata-season program titled 'The Story of Tanabata' shown at the planetarium of Asutamuland Tokushima (Tokushima Children's Science Museum) in Itano, Tokushima. Under a starry sky projected onto a dome about 20 meters across, a presenter gives a live, easy-to-follow narration of the Tanabata legend of Orihime (Vega in Lyra), Hikoboshi (Altair in Aquila), and the Milky Way. The show also explains how to use a star chart and points out the constellations visible at this time of year, helping families deepen their interest in the summer night sky. Bamboo decorations are sometimes displayed in the park, letting visitors enjoy both science and seasonal tradition.
