Naruto Shore Marche Tanabata Festival

A Tanabata-themed night marche held at Uchinoumi Sogo Park in Naruto, Tokushima. Under the concept 'a night when wishes soar,' the main attraction is the fantastical simultaneous release of countless sky lanterns into the evening sky after sunset. The sky lanterns require advance reservation, with up to four people per lantern able to write a wish and send it skyward. The venue is lined with gourmet food trucks, festival-style sweets, and handmade craft stalls, plus a beer garden, and visitors in yukata are welcome to enjoy a summer evening at the seaside park. It is a popular Tanabata event for families and couples. *Dates are based on the previous year.
