About This Event
The Noheji Spring Festival is held annually at Atago Park in Noheji Town, Aomori Prefecture. About 150 colorful koinobori fly above the park's 700 cherry trees, creating a spectacular spring scene with Mutsu Bay as a backdrop. From the hilltop observation deck, visitors can enjoy panoramic views of Mutsu Bay and the Shimokita Peninsula. The festival also features a Hotate (scallop) Relay Marathon on April 29 and nighttime cherry blossom viewing with lantern illumination.
