Takasegawa Koinobori Display

Held each spring along the Takase River in Yamagata City, this community-organized event features over 300 colorful koinobori strung on wires spanning approximately 800 meters. Organized by a local community group as part of environmental beautification efforts, the display includes handcrafted koinobori by a renowned craftsman from Sagae City. The combination of cherry blossoms and koinobori creates a picturesque spring scene, and children can touch some of the streamers displayed near the playground area.
