Noritake Garden Koinobori

Noritake-Shinmachi, Nishi-ku, Nagoya, Aichi

Venue: Noritake Garden (Six-Chimney Monument Plaza)

Early Apr – Late May, 2026 (est.)

Noritake Garden in Nagoya's Nishi-ku district is a cultural complex built on the former headquarters site of the world-renowned Noritake ceramics company. Every spring since 2003, the 'Forest Koinobori' event displays about 50 colorful carp streamers strung between the park's iconic 8-meter-tall six-chimney monument. The event was started to give urban children—many living in apartments without space for koinobori—a chance to see carp streamers up close. Visitors can enjoy the display while strolling through the garden's spring flowers.
