Achi Hanamomo Village Koinobori

Achi, Nagano

Venue: Tsukigawa Onsen Hanamomo Village

Mid-Apr – Early May, 2026 (est.)

Tsukigawa Onsen in Achi Village, Nagano is known as Japan's finest hanamomo (peach blossom) village, where about 5,000 red, white, and pink peach trees cover the mountainside each spring. During the Hanamomo Festival, koinobori are displayed among the blossoms, creating an extraordinary scene where streamers blend with the tricolor blooms. Peak bloom is from mid-April to early May, coinciding with Tango no Sekku, drawing families and photographers. Achi is also known as Japan's best village for stargazing, and the nearby Hirugami Onsen offers hot springs. Dates are based on last year's schedule.
