Snow country meets hina dolls
Centered around Bokushi Street, which recreates an Edo-period post town, approximately 50 shops and private homes display hina dolls spanning from the Edo to Heisei eras. Organized by a local women's group called the 'Shaga Association,' this event creates an enchanting contrast between the deep snow of Japan's snow country and the colorful hina decorations. As a former post town on the Mikuni Kaido highway, the historic streetscape provides a unique setting to view treasured family hina dolls up close.
