World Folk Doll Museum, Suzaka Print Art Museum, and Historic Building Park
Suzaka, NaganoChubu
6m tall, 30-tier — one of Japan's most stunning
A long-running event across three facilities in Suzaka Art Park, displaying approximately 2,000 hina dolls in total. The centerpiece '30-Tier Display' rises 6 meters high with about 600 dolls arranged on 30 tiers — among the most spectacular in all of Japan. The World Folk Doll Museum also offers insights into doll cultures worldwide, while the Suzaka Print Art Museum and Historic Building Park feature distinctive displays in their own right. The weekend 'Become an Ohina-sama' dress-up experience (children: 600 yen, adults: 800 yen) lets visitors wear juni-hitoe-inspired costumes for photos. Free admission for those 18 and under makes this an excellent family-friendly destination.
