About This Event
The Esashi Summer Festival's Tanabata celebration is held every August 7 in central Esashi, Oshu, following the month-delayed Tanabata custom. Centered on Kawaramachi Plaza, the Kuramachi Mall, and the Kawaramachi shopping street, the historic storehouse townscape is dressed in colorful Tanabata decorations and atmospheric illumination.
