Bamboo decorations across the nostalgic streets of Imaichi
A tradition in which Imaichi residents once raised colorful bamboo decorations for the old-calendar Tanabata was revived in 2022 after a roughly 50-year gap. A mystery quiz rally links multiple venues including Shimo-Imaichi Station, Imaichi Station, Hotoku Ninomiya Shrine, Imaichi Takio Shrine and Nyorai-ji, with stamp sheets handed out at each site. On the final day, an evening event called 'Nyoraichi' is held at Nyorai-ji with food trucks gathering local residents. Growing year by year under a theme of world peace, it adds color to the nostalgic streets of Imaichi.
