The Tsuetate Onsen Koinobori Festival in Oguni Town, Kumamoto has been running since 1980, pioneering the concept of koinobori displays in hot spring towns. About 3,500 koinobori are displayed above the Tsuetate River, making it one of Japan's largest. Visitors can enjoy the sight of countless koinobori while soaking in the hot springs. Located on the Kumamoto-Oita border near popular Kurokawa Onsen.
