About This Event

Seisotei is a historic building in the Tamashima district of Kurashiki, repurposed from the Edo-period former Yunoki Residence, with white-walled rooms and a garden that evoke the past. In early July it hosts a Tanabata festival where bamboo decorations and tanzaku are displayed and visitors can tie their wishes to bamboo. The atmospheric 'Seisotei Tanabata Concert' is also held inside the residence, pairing the history of the port town of Tamashima with the charm of Tanabata.
