Yukata rental and dressing to enjoy a Japanese summer
A Tanabata event at Niihama Women's Plaza in Niihama, Ehime, where local residents and foreign nationals living in the area come together. Dressed in yukata, participants make Star Festival decorations and write wishes on tanzaku strips while enjoying light refreshments and drinks in a cosmopolitan atmosphere. Yukata rental and dressing assistance are provided so that those without a yukata, including international guests, can easily experience this Japanese summer tradition. The modest participation fee includes food and drink, and the event draws families, students, and residents from many countries.
