Kawakami Gorge in Yamato-cho, Saga is a scenic spot known as the 'Arashiyama of Kyushu.' Each spring, about 300 koinobori donated by citizens are displayed near Kannin Bridge over the Kase River. The long display period from cherry blossom season through fresh green season allows leisurely viewing. Nearby attractions include Yodohime Shrine and the gorge's natural beauty.
