The Konouragawa River in Nagasaki's Sotome district is known as one of Japan's cleanest rivers. During Golden Week, the 'Koi Koi Festival' features koinobori along the riverside park. Activities include scorpionfish fishing, eel catching, and mochi throwing. The Sotome area is also near the UNESCO World Heritage 'Hidden Christian Sites in the Nagasaki Region.'
