Yokoze Koinobori Festival

Held from April to May in Yokoze Town, Chichibu, Saitama. About 180 koinobori are strung on four wire ropes across the Yokoze River, creating a spectacular scene against the backdrop of Mt. Buko, Chichibu's iconic mountain. Many of the koinobori are donated by local residents and families, making this a community celebration of children's growth. Free shuttle buses run from Yokoze Station on weekends and holidays, and nearby Buko Onsen offers bathing facilities.
