One of the Kanto region's most spectacular koinobori festivals, held in the Kanna River gorge in Kanna Town, Gunma Prefecture. Approximately 800 colorful koinobori are strung on wires across the clear Kanna River, creating a breathtaking scene against the backdrop of fresh green mountains. During the Golden Week main event, visitors can enjoy local specialties including grilled sweetfish and mountain vegetable tempura from festival stalls. This is the highlight spring event for this small mountain town.
