Handmade koinobori swimming above the retro Taisho Roman street
Held annually in spring along Taisho Roman Yume-dori street in Kawagoe City, Saitama. In the 'Little Edo' townscape famous for its traditional warehouse-style buildings, hundreds of original handmade koinobori created by local kindergarteners, businesses, and schools swim above the retro-style street. Each koinobori has a unique design drawn by children, making for an entertaining display. Visitors can combine the event with exploring the historic warehouse district and enjoying Kawagoe's famous sweet potato treats.
