HIGHLIGHTS

Triple collaboration of snowy mountains, 450 cherry trees, and koinobori

About This Event

A koinobori display event at Benten Green Space along the Kuzuryu River in Katsuyama City, Fukui. The river's koinobori tradition dating back to 1991 was paused in 2021 due to aging equipment, but revived as 'Koinobori Again' with about 100 carp streamers thanks to donations from near and far. The spectacular triple combination of snow-capped mountains, approximately 450 Benten cherry trees stretching 1.5 kilometers, and colorful koinobori is breathtaking. Free to view anytime, and just a 5-minute walk from Echizen Railway Katsuyama Station.
