Tanabata Decorations at Kanzo Yashiki & Miyakoen

Enzan, Koshu, Yamanashi

Venue: Former Takano Residence (Kanzo Yashiki) & Miyakoen

Jun 24 – Jul 8, 2026

Tanabata decorations are displayed at two facilities: the nationally designated important cultural property former Takano Residence (Kanzo Yashiki) and the Meiji-era modern industrial heritage Miyakoen. Kanzo Yashiki, a one-minute walk from the north exit of JR Enzan Station, was the home of the Takano family who supplied licorice to the shogunate in the late Edo period. Miyakoen is the former farm of Mitsutaro Miyazaki, a pioneer of modern Japanese winemaking. Colorful Tanabata decorations adorn these historic spaces, and visitors can write wishes to tie to bamboo. Both sites are closed on Tuesdays.
