Plantopia Tanabata Festival

A Tanabata festival at the Echizen Fukui Botanical Garden Plantopia. The main bamboo display is set up in front of the garden's reception, where visitors can write wishes and hang them. On set days, a 'Tanabata quick-draw lottery' for paying visitors awards sweets and craft experiences to correct answers. Parent-child crafts such as 'Forest Friends' (making insect parts from branches) and 'Tanabata deco-parfait' making are popular with children. Close to the Echizen coast and surrounded by seasonal plants, it offers a relaxed way to enjoy the traditional Tanabata of wishing upon the stars amid greenery.
