Angel Land Fukui (Fantasy Egg hall)
Sakai, FukuiChubu
A free, no-reservation Tanabata in a science hall wrapped in the Milky Way
A Tanabata event held in the Fantasy Egg hall of Angel Land Fukui, the prefectural children's science museum. In a magical space themed on the Milky Way and bamboo decorations, visitors can write wishes on strips and hang them. Participation is free with no advance booking, so all ages can join easily. A 'pseudo-planetarium' craft class runs in the same period, and together with the museum's planetarium and hands-on science exhibits, it makes for a full day out. With free parking for 360 cars, it is popular with families—a science-museum take on Tanabata that colors the start of summer with stars and wishes.
