A beloved spring tradition in Gojo City, Nara Prefecture, where numerous koinobori fly over a 1-kilometer stretch of the Yoshino River. The display runs from late March through early May and is viewable 24 hours a day. The highlight is the River Opening Festival on April 29, featuring a mini aquarium of local river fish, goldfish scooping, street performances, and food stalls. Nearby, visitors can explore the historic Gojo Shinmachi traditional preservation district and the former Goshin Railway ruins.
